Yesterday, Dr John Benson took the witness stand in defense of Mary's husband, Max Sanders. At once, the crafty District Attorney began to hint strongly of Benson's love of the defendant's wife. Hinted at strongly, that under the circumstances, the witness would be likely to try to make Mary happy, by giving testimony that would free her husband.
