Through the years new inventions have speeded the wheels of progress but today Phil Harris slows them down to a grinding halt! Phil gets his contract renewed but Mr. Scott said he might get a raise if he shows more interest in the company and came up with some more ideas for RCA. Then Alice's brother Willie turns up with a portable ice making machine he's invented. Phil decides he's going to get rid of Willie and borrow his invention to impress his bosses at RCA Victor.
