It's vacation time! The time of year when Chester A. Riley invariably develops a nervous breakdown trying to decide where to go for a rest. When his family return from the movies they find him looking over folders trying to decide where to go. Peg suggests they head east and visit her parents in Brooklyn. The kids are excited but Chester declares, Brooklyn, the Motherland! He then remembers he only has one week leave and they'd need at least four weeks. Peg suggests he asks his boss Mr Stevenson but Riley is convinced Mr Stevenson wouldn't permit it. Anyone would think that Riley didn't want to go the mother-in-laws for a vacation.
