Gildy Stays Home Sick

Gildy wakes up to the alarm and doesn’t feel like getting out of bed. It’s a beautiful day and he wishes he were a bird so that he can just dig up big fat worms all day. Then he has an idea to call the mayor and tell him he’s sick so that he can just loaf about all day. However when he pretends to Birdie that he has a cold coming on she denies him breakfast telling him you have to starve a cold and feed a fever. Gildy wishes he’d told her he had a fever. By the end of the day Gildy wishes he’d just gone to work!
