It is midnight. In the sub cellar of an old brownstone house an operation is being performed. The patient sprawled out on a makeshift operating table winces as a man in a soiled surgical gown applies the scalpel to portions of his face. The patient is a criminal bank robber who killed a bank messenger. The doctor is a corrupt plastic surgeon who extorts money from the criminals as payment for changing their appearance.
