Doctor Hilton is traveling to Washington on the railroad by himself, and his companion on the ride to the station is nervous for him. He is traveling to meet with the National Defence Coordinator, and the formula in his briefcase is so important, that someone could take desperate measures to gain possession of it. He has worked for years on the formula, but recently discovered that some of the hypothesis were invalid. Fortunately, the Doctor knows the cause of the errors - but until he makes certain revisions in his figures, the formula would be useless to anyone else.
