After years touring the theaters and music halls on both sides of the Atlantic Adelaide Fitz-Allen moved into radio. Her most famous role was that of Nancy, the witch on the spooky old time radio thriller 'The Witches Tale'. Her unique cackling at the start of each show was enough to cause any youngster of the day to pull up the bed clothes and hide.
