Robert E. Peary Discovers North Pole - Cavalcade Of America

If you are interested in history, listen to the Cavalcade of America which was added to RUSC on the 7th of April and tells the tale of Robert Edwin Peary who was the first man to reach the North Pole on the 6th of April 1909. He said, Nothing easier. One step beyond the pole, you see, and the north wind becomes a south one.

Robert E. Peary, most famous of all artic explorers, did, in fact, devote 23 years of his life to the achievement of his ambition. His dogged determination has been an inspiration to other explorers and to men in other fields of endeavour.
