Presidents' Day

Presidents' Day

February 12 and 22 were observed as separate holidays to honor the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln (Feb. 12) and George Washington (Feb. 22) until 1971, when President Richard Nixon proclaimed one single federal holiday, the Presidents' Day, to be observed on the third Monday of February, honoring all past presidents of the United States of America - and why not!

It seemed an appropriate time to get another new series up on RUSC, one with the rather appropriate name of Mr. President. Lincoln's birthday was last Thursday so I've put his show up first and I'll get George Washington up for the 22nd and then the others will follow over the coming months.

Happy listening my friends
