Happy Mother's Day!

Joy and I would like to wish a very Happy Mother's Day this weekend, to all of the wonderful mothers throughout the world.

This week, I had one of those 'moments' when I was listening to a show, and an old, previously forgotten memory popped back to the forefront of my mind? Does that ever happen to you? 

The show is live on Sunday, and is called I Remember Mama. It's the story of an immigrant Norwegian family in 1910 San Francisco, and centers around Mama and her detailed, pennywise household budget. We follow the Hansens' small joys, sorrows, and aspirations, and it will perhaps make you think of your own family growing up, as it did me. It's a wonderful, warm story.

In nearly all of the soap operas in old time radio, there's a caring mother figure. Whether it's Penny's loving mother Grace from Hearts in Harmony; the most practical and patient Mom, Peg Riley; or everyone's mother - Oxydol's own - Ma Perkins', we've grown so fond of them all over the years.

If you can, be sure to let your mother know how special she is this Mother's Day, and if you're a Mom yourself, this coming Sunday, don't feel guilty about putting your feet up and whiling away your cares, whilst sitting back and enjoying the shows we have put together for you on RUSC to celebrate the day.
