Happy Father's Day!

I hope you get what you want for Father's day today... Unlike Phil Harris who got a pink bed-jacket from his kids!

Our latest poll (over to the right) shows that cravats and neckties were at the top of the list of gifts you bought your own Pops. Or maybe Phil would have been a 'glad dad' like Bing Crosby, if he'd received some Personna Blades instead. 

On 20th June (1954) it's Father's Day but unfortunately Phil Harris won't be home that day because he figured that since Father's Day is a day when he gets to do as he pleases, he's decided he wants to go fishing.

As he and Remley are going through the closet to get his fishing gear together they come across Phil's present from the girls, a pink bed jacket! Phil decides he's going to take it back to the store and exchange it for something he does want.

However one way or another, it seems he's getting a pink bed jacket for Father's Day!

There's another show added this week which sure made me laugh too, called Two TVs for Father's Day - one of the Life of Riley shows - and there will undoubtedly be many more in the collection which bring up the fond memories you shared with your own Dad - like the time he taught you how to ride a bike, or that camping trip you once took - just the two of you.
