Daisy Carter, owner of the Big Rock Cafe, sat on the corner of the desk in her cafe office, and swung one booted foot back and forth beneath the fringe of her leather skirt. As she grinned expansively at the three men standing before her, they were keen to hear what she had to say. It turned out her boy - Jerry - was coming out to visit from St Louis, and since Daisy had received a good offer from a rancher nearby, she was aiming to sell up, and then head back to St Louis with him. Daisy Carter had always been plenty tough, and had known from the moment her husband - the Sheriff of Big Rock - had been gunned down, that she needed to make a living in the town for herself and her young son. She didn't hide the fact that she was a rough and tumble woman, but now she wanted to go to St Louis and be a lady. But what would Jerry think of Big Rock?
