Dan Reid - young nephew of the Lone Ranger, had left their camp in the enchanted hills, and rode into Frontier Town. He reined up at the back door of Mother Willard's rooming house to quickly visit and eat some cake with the elderly lady. Whilst he was there, he discovered an outlaw staying there, and decided to follow him to his camp so that he could report his whereabouts to the Lone Ranger.
