When the Winslow Boy opened on Broadway playwright Terrance Rattigan was acclaimed not only for writing a heart warming drama but because he immortalised the right of the individual. In this case the individual is a small boy defended against the charge of theft by all the resources of three people who believed in him, his father, his sister and his lawyer.
