To fourteen-year-old Bobby Hanks, his father was the bravest man in the whole county. He had his father's own word for it, and often listened enraptured as his father regaled many tales of his bravery and daring. But to the people of Longhorn, Bobby's dad was known as Windy Hanks - teller of tall tales, and a subject for laughter and ridicule. One evening, as motherless Bobby sat eating supper with his Dad in their small home outside of town, the boy took an old, faded handbill from his pocket, and spread it on the table. He'd found it in some rubbish at the back of the Sheriff's office - and unsurprisingly, his father had a tale to tell him about the outlaw pictured...
