Frederick Princey was just an ordinary family man with a son a daughter and a wife. He would have been out golfing now if it weren’t for the terrible rainy weather. In fact the whole family were at home this wet Saturday afternoon like any other typical middleclass family. But the air is charged with excitement and there is tenseness in the room for in the conservatory still and dead is the curate whom Millicent had been in love with. Frederick fears that his daughter Millicent will hang for this murder and the family spend this wet Saturday afternoon going over every detail of how Millie came to murder him and what they can do to protect her.
