A letter is received at the white-framed house on Maple Street from Chicago from an old school friend of Jim’s inviting him to visit. Of course he can’t go but the invite has got Jim imagining all kinds of exciting adventures, taking stock of life and really living, becoming a carefree spirit and shaking off the shackles of responsibility. Then when all the kids have plans for the weekend, Jim and Margaret have the perfect opportunity to visit Chicago.
