Vagabond King, The

In the streets of 15th-century Paris, François Villon, a talented but roguish poet, spends his days dodging authorities and wooing the beautiful Katherine De Vaucelles, the King's niece. When the King faces an invasion from the Duke of Burgundy, Villon finds himself in a precarious situation.

The King, impressed by Villon's wit (or perhaps desperate), offers him a deal: become King (but only for a day!) and successfully defend Paris, and Villon can win Katherine's hand. However, this means forsaking his life as a carefree vagabond and facing the consequences of past misdeeds.

Torn between love and freedom, Villon accepts the challenge. With cunning and a dash of luck, he rallies the Parisian citizens and even impresses Katherine with his newfound leadership. But will Villon be able to overcome the odds and secure his future with Katherine, or will his past come back to haunt him?
