Marine Sergeant Landon was taken aboard at Tokyo, and has been recuperating for quite some time. To be frank, it's lucky that he recuperated at all, since he didn't want to recover. In his psychiatric records it says that back in Korea, when he was captured, Sergeant Landon was on a reconnaissance patrol in charge of five men. The patrol was spotted and all were killed but him, and since then he has felt personally responsible for what happened.
