Two trappers are overheard arguing in the cafe about splitting the money they have earned. Lem, The older wiser one wants to keep the money in a single pot to cover any expenses but young Ernie wants his share of the  money now. Ernie is het up so decides to stay in a hotel tonight leaving Lem to go back to their cabin alone. Meanwhile two men who overhear their argument decide to go to the cabin and steal the money believing that Ernie will get the blame. However they are not prepared for the talents of sergeant Preston’s dog King to uncover the real culprits.
