It is eleven o'clock on the night of July 2nd. Three people are in Tony's Market - a small convenience store which stays open until all hours. There is Tony himself, middle-aged, balding and good natured, Mrs Cordelia Tanner, a rather plump lady of nearly forty, and Mr Joseph Daisy, an elderly but extremely dignified looking gentleman.
