It looks as though Lum and Abner's big plan to get rid of Miss Hartford by marrying her off to Otis Bagley, is going to fall through completely, after she failed to show up last night for the dinner arranged for her and Mr Bagley. However, the old fellows received a telegram from Miss Hartford, revealing the startling news that she had eloped with the driver of the mail hack!
