It's late afternoon when we join the Gook family in their home. Sade is out, and Vic arrived home from the office around ten minutes ago, so has immediately stretched out on the davenport for a nap. Young Russell arrives home from his after school adventures, and is regaling Vic with stories of a fist fight, when Uncle Fletcher arrives - and for the second time in five minutes, Russell's been asked to clear off out to play again. It doesn't look like Vic's going to get his nap, because Uncle Fletcher has something important to discuss, and now's the perfect time with no women or children around...
