One of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's favorite Sherlock Holmes stories, the Adventure of the Reigate Squire sees Dr Watson travelling to Lyons so that the good doctor could bring back a poorly Sherlock Holmes. He had been working on a case for two months to bring to justice a swindler who had eluded the police of three different countries. Holmes however, doesn’t appear to be recovering in Baker Street, though, and so Dr Watson convinces him to spend a period of recovery at the Reigate home of Colonel Hayter.
