Lum tells Cedric and Abner that he is not going to open the box until the get all the Hempstead relations straightened out and tells Cedric to stop calling him grandpa!  It seems that according to a family tree that professor Crenshaw made up for Cedric, Lum is his grandpa but Lum insists he is no such thing!
