Screen Directors Playhouse recreate the 1948 motion picture Pitfall, a play on human frailty starring Dick Powell and Jane Wyatt in their original screen roles as John and Sue Forbes. John Forbes is a married man. He loves his wife and son but he is bored with the mundanities of life. That's all about to change when he meets and falls for a woman involved with Smiley, a man imprisoned for embezzling. John Forbes is not the only one who has designs on the femme fatal and his life and that of his wife and sons are placed in danger.
