Broadway’s friend Harry has bet all their winnings from a horse race on their friend Nicely Nicely winning a pie eating competition. They think it is a sure bet and expect to win $3000 but they cannot find Nicely Nicely. When they do find him it seems that he has fallen in love and promised his love that he will lose some weight. When he gets down to 200lbs they are going to get married. But this doesn’t help Broadway and Harry as Hilda won’t allow Nicely Nicely to enter the competition.
