Today's show originates from Camp Callen, California - with an all-soldier audience. Phil Harris announces that he and Alice Faye have had a baby girl, called Phyllis. Jack is amused by the name Phyllis, (a mix of Phil and Alice) and he starts to make jokes about it. He says that Phyllis is a good name for a girl, but it is also a good name for a vacuum cleaner. He then asks Harris if he is going to call the baby "Phil" for short. Harris says that he is not sure, but he thinks it might be a good idea.
