A family are together in their "nest". Everything is calm for the moment, but at any moment the mother could wake and start to ramble on about things that don't exist anymore. Things such as the sun, grass and superintendents who control the heating system. The father sends Bud out for some more air, but there is something strange outside, something that Bud wasn't expecting to see.
