Darkness had fallen when the Lone Ranger and Tonto reached the outskirts of Frontier Town and made temporary camp. Tonto rode into the town, returning shortly with the news that Sheriff Taylor - who had been trailing an outlaw gang some distance away - had just returned to town. The Lone Ranger wanted to share the news with the Sheriff that he and Tonto had successfully escorted the overland stage to Rockville, and prevented any robberies from taking place.
