In 1867 when the steel rails of the iron horse penetrated the Wyoming territory, the Union Pacific Railroad Company laid out a town and called it Cheyenne. Within a few months the town's population reached 6,000 people - mostly men who knew no restrictions of law and order. There was no law, until the vigilantes took over. There were no delays, no trials, and jury's never disagreed. Law and order was established, and people like Laura Bates were able to establish their own business. Laura was putting together supplies for Dan Reid in her general store, when 'Pegleg' Prindle came in. He was a man who specialized in blasting powder, and was in need of two or three kegs. On seeing Dan, he tried to employ him as his 'touch-n-go' to light the fuses for him, on his next big job. Dan politely declines, but on relaying the story to the Lone Ranger back at camp - the Lone Ranger encourages him to take the job, because they believe a wanted outlaw - unbeknownst to Pegleg - is working for him too...
