A lost little red haired boy turns up in town and is different to all the other kids because he can see the stars in the sky in the daytime and name all of the constellations. The town led by their strict reverend are afraid of him because he is different and in their eyes sinful as he can see what they cannot see. The other children in the town bully him. One kind sensible couple decide to leave the town and take the child with them and hence the town falls in to a strange darkness with no stars to light up the sky.
