Murray Davis works as an actor/comedian in a night club so he's not exactly loaded. So when a girl he's been seeing, Norma Redding, (Red) and a dishonest doctor, Dr Judson comes to him with an insurance con proposition he's in. All he has to do is pull a car out of a parking spot at the exact time a Cadillac is passing and then following the engineered accident he feigns injuries which are confirmed by the dishonest doctor resulting in the insurance company paying out.
