Lum is still worried about hearing the mysterious threatening voice on the party lone in the Jot 'Em Down store. He can't understand why anyone would want to frighten him. Lum suspects it might be Abner making the calls but Abner tells him  that the call might well have been for him and besides, he was right besides Lum when he answered the phone.
