Once again Dr Christian is solving an affair of the heart. Laura Gaye has left her entertainer husband, Marty Gaye, and returned to Rivers End to live with her father. Laura loves her husband but feels she should never have married him as their life is never private and she often finds herself on the end of his jokes. Dr Christian explains to Laura that her husband is a natural entertainer and has a gift. Realising her husband loves her too with the help of Dr Christian she comes up with a way to show him how she feels about him joking about her and she in turn learns not to be too sensitive.
