Penny Gibbs has at last gone to see the strange Mrs Carlton, the wealthy and mysterious old woman, who for a reason not yet revealed, telephoned Penny that she had to see her right away. Penny has still not returned, and at her home, Freddie is worried and is threatening to go and get her!
