Mr King, a well-dressed but hard-faced man in his mid-forties, was seated at a corner table at the cafe at the center. He looked up as two rough looking cowhands walked toward him, and pointed towards the empty chair at his table. The men had some news for him about a boy, Jerry, who they have been trailing now for two hundred miles. It looks like the kid may have evaded them again though - and it's to be hoped he did!.
