The Railroad Hour show train present the Franz Lehar operetta The Merry Widow is a delightful musical comedy about a wealthy widow worth twenty Million and who is the only taxpayer in the principality. The Baron is keen that her fortune does not leave her native country and bankrupt them and conspires to have her marry a local man. However the man he has in mind has a very good reason why he shouldn't marry her.
Dramatized for this series by Jerome Lawrence and Robert with some names changed from the original Opera.
