The mystery of the strange disappearance of Lum and Cedric is still unsolved. Neither the police nor the helpful townsfolk have discovered any clues even Mousey Gray who has turned detective has failed to produce any worthwhile information. If Lum doesn’t return soon Abner is faced with the prospect of losing his home and the store because he mortgaged both of them to raise money for Lum’s bail.
