As we look in on the little community of Pine Ridge today, Lum is sitting on the front porch about to view in. Dick Huddleston is just approaching. Lum and Dick discuss how Abner is losing money by charging only 25 cents for room and board. Lum has closed his part of the hotel so while he's not making any money at least he's not making a loss. But it seems Abner has some other source of income.
