James Hilton introduces the story and tells you that while you won’t find Shangri-la on any maps everyone can find his own Shangri-la in his own heart. It may not be easy but the birth of a new year is a good time to make the resolution to find a little personal peace of mind in a troubled world. At the end of the story James Hilton can be heard again with a message of peace for the New Year and thanks to Herbert Marshall for his wonderful performance of Conway.
