Broadcast: June 8, 1948
Added: Jul 18 2023

A full hour of dramatic entertainment, Let Me Do The Talking written by Richard Mealand is a behind the scenes inside the agents portrait of the literary business. It's main concern is a young man who came to be known as the Agent Gabriel. Mr Charles Gabriel, bachelor who moves with the speed of light through publishing and promotional circles meets pretty Barbara Jean Mudge at a party. Barbara is in New York because she wants to be an actress and Gabriel likes her but tells her to forget wanting to be famous and asks her how about wanting nothing, how about being the girl who doesn't want to be a movie star, doesn't want a husband, doesn't want money, but to be the girl who sets a new standard for American women - the girl who doesn't want anything. He said he'll be her agent for free. He changes her name to Bridget and sets forth being her agent but soon becomes more than that.
