Don Moffat is a good agent who helps Arlen when he was a humble comedy act earning tips for a living to be a successful television act earning three grand a week.

When the success goes to Arlen's head and everyone who got him there walks out on him because of his bigshot attitude, instead of giving up on him Moffat cuts him back down to size before the fame destroys him.
