In a small, shabbily furnished room, in a section of town that had seen better days, three men sat talking, two of them tilting their chairs against the wall. The other had a number of government checks set out on the table in front of him. The three bad guys (Joe, Fingers and Moose) have been hanging around the town stealing the checks from unsuspecting victims, one of which is Marie O'Toole's - a mother of two, and wife of a deployed soldier - who is now about to be evicted for non-payment of rent. Cue Mike Axford intervening - reporter for the Daily Sentinel - who manages to get himself kidnapped along the way!
