Yesterday when Lum was at the county seat seeking help for their forthcoming court battle with Squire Skimp, Abner and Grandpappy Spears devised a brilliant plan of entering Squire's house late at night to recover the note which the old fellows wrote to Squire stating that his fall in their theater was entirely their fault.
