Marshall Matt Dillon has to go to Springfield to pick up a criminal for trial. It is a two-day ride so he wants to set off right away but it means letting Kitty down for the social he’d agreed to go to with her. Later Kitty and Rudd come across an injured man and help him and Kitty falls in love with him.
