One of the most beloved works of English literature is Charlotte Bronte’s great human novel Jane Eyre. It is the tale of Jane Eyre a governess at Thornfield and of her love for the master of the house Mr Rochester. She is happy when Mr Rochester asks for her hand in marriage but has to leave Thornfield when she learns that the violent mad woman Grace Poole who lives in the attics of the house is not only the sister of Mr Mason but the wife of her beloved Mr Rochester.
