Jack Benny is throwing a swimming party for his friends. He invites his neighbor, Rochester, but Rochester is not a good swimmer. He is afraid of the water and he doesn't want to go to the party. Jack is disappointed, but he doesn't give up. He decides to send Rochester a telegram that says, "Come to the party or I'll throw you in the pool." The party goes on and everyone has a good time. Rochester even manages to relax a little bit and enjoy himself. In the end, Jack is glad that he invited Rochester to the party. He realizes that it is more important to have friends than to have a swimming party.
