Unlike usual episodes, Jack arrives onstage without a script due to his writers' strike. Instead of panicking, he improvises brilliantly, creating a show on the fly filled with ad-libs, audience interaction, and hilarious chaos, before a script is used titled The Murder of Malcolm Smith. To fill time, Jack welcomes unusual guests, including a robotic maid (a novelty gadget back then) and a group of amateur jugglers. Their interactions with Jack and the audience lead to plenty of comedy moments.
