For three days now strange things have been happening to Carol that she does not think are just a coincidence. When a statue of a Buddha falls from a wall just missing landing on her she believes there is a curse on her. Her husband, the owner of the tea plantation in Ceylon tells her there is no such thing as a curse and that it is merely superstition. Carol is convinced someone wants her dead.
